Key Commanders of Banned Gul Bahadur Group Eliminated in South Waziristan IBO

Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Ladha, South Waziristan, targeting terrorists of the banned Gul Bahadur Group. The operation resulted in the deaths of four senior commanders, including Maulvi Hamid Afghani, Commander Abu Dojana, Commander Muneeb, and Commander Muhibullah, also known as Mebel.

Sources indicate that Maulvi Hamid Afghani was a central figure in the group’s command structure, with other commanders heavily reliant on his leadership. Following the operation, militants from the Gul Bahadur Group in Ladha and surrounding areas confirmed the deaths of the four commanders.

Authorities said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating in South Waziristan and to neutralise leaders responsible for planning and executing attacks against security forces and civilians.
