Security forces killed three terrorists belonging during an intelligence based operation in the Bara area of Khyber district. According to security sources, credible intelligence indicated the presence of militants linked to the Zarshed Group in the vicinity. Upon confirmation, security forces launched a targeted operation to intercept the terrorists. During the exchange of fire, three militants were successfully neutralised.
The operation was conducted to disrupt the group’s movement and prevent planned acts of terrorism in the region. Weapons and other materials were recovered from the site. Security forces have initiated a comprehensive clearance operation in the surrounding areas to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining facilitators or hideouts. The area is being thoroughly combed to secure the locality and maintain stability.
Authorities reaffirmed that counterterrorism operations under Azm- e -Istehkam will continue with full determination until all foreign sponsored and locally aligned militant networks are dismantled.
