Security Forces Eliminate 15 India-Sponsored Terrorists in KP

Security forces eliminated 15 India-backed militants in two intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, including a terrorist wing commander, as clearance operations continued under Operation Azm-e-Istahkam to eradicate foreign-sponsored militancy from the country.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was carried out in the Dattakhel area of North Waziristan after reports of the presence of militants aligned with the outlawed groups. Five terrorists were killed in the encounter, while a clearance operation is still underway to secure the area.

In a separate intelligence-driven action in the Kolachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, security forces engaged militants in a fierce exchange of fire, killing ten terrorists, including four Afghan nationals. Among those neutralised was Alim Mehsud, a notorious wing commander of the militant network.

ISPR stated that clearance operations are continuing in both regions, reaffirming that the counterterrorism campaign under Operation Azm-e-Istahkam will continue with full force until all traces of foreign-supported terrorism are eliminated.

Security forces have intensified operations to locate and dismantle safe havens used by India-backed militant elements operating inside Pakistan.
