Afghan forces on Saturday launched unprovoked firing along several sectors of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, including Chitral, Bajaur, Mohmand, Angoor Adda, and Kurram. According to sources, Pakistani troops responded with full force, destroying two Afghan posts and killing several enemy personnel.
Reports confirmed that multiple Afghan soldiers were eliminated during the exchange of fire, while the rest fled their positions, leaving behind the bodies of their comrades. Two Pakistani soldiers sustained injuries during the skirmishes.
In Kurram, intense clashes were reported near Kharlachi, Spina Shaga, Gawi, and Maqbool, where Pakistan Army’s precision strikes completely neutralized two Afghan positions.
Security sources said the aggression was met with a strong and decisive response. “When the enemy attempted to target our posts, our valiant troops responded in the language the enemy understands — with unrelenting firepower,” the sources stated. “The response was so overwhelming that Afghan attackers abandoned their dead and retreated in panic.”
The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its resolve to safeguard the country’s territorial integrity and warned that any hostile act from across the border would be met with a swift and forceful reply.
