Hangu Police: Locals, Intensify Operations Against Khawarij and Facilitators

Under the direct supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Hangu, Khan Zeb Mohmand, Doaba Police have launched successive targeted operations against Khawarij and their facilitators in Dar Samand and adjoining areas to restore lasting peace and stability.

The operations, carried out with the participation of DSP Tall Mujahid Khan, SHO Doaba Inspector Imranuddin Khan, Al-Buraq Commandos, and RRF personnel, were backed by strong community support. Locals actively shared intelligence, enabling security forces to strike precisely at terrorist hideouts.

During the raids, police arrested two suspects and seized a cache of weapons, including:

02 Kalashnikov rifles, 03 pistols , 01 rifle and Hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Authorities also recovered disguises used by Khawarij , including wigs, service boots, uniforms, and a binocular — evidence that the suspects were attempting to conceal their identities to carry out terrorist activities. The arrested suspects have been handed over to the investigation staff for further interrogation.

DPO Khan Zeb Mohmand commended the successful operations, stressing that public cooperation is vital in defeating terrorism:“Our resolve is unwavering — terrorists and their facilitators cannot escape the law. With the support of our people, we will safeguard lives and strengthen peace across the region.”The series of operations highlight not only the vigilance of Hangu Police but also the trust and collaboration between security forces and local communities in eradicating terrorism from the tribal belt.
