Security forces arrested a wanted terrorist and his facilitator during an intelligence-based operation in the Bara subdivision of Khyber district, officials confirmed on Friday.
According to sources, the operation was carried out in the Bar Qambarkhel area, specifically targeting a site near Nehar Ghara Shanko Ground. During the raid, the forces apprehended Hazrat Ameen, a key operative of the outlawed group labeled as Fitna al-Khawarij by the state, along with his close facilitator Siraj.
Security personnel recovered IEDs, explosives, and other militant materials from the suspects’ possession, foiling potential future attacks.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the region, particularly in former tribal areas, where remnants of extremist groups continue to pose a threat to peace and stability.
