In continuity of zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, security forces conducted a major operation in the Bettani sub-division of Lakki Marwat on Monday. Acting on intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij in the area, forces conducted raids in the regions of Shadi Khel, Ali Khel, and the surrounding mountainous terrain.
During the operation, intense gunfire was exchanged between the security forces and the terrorists. Two Khawarij were reported injured in the clash, while others managed to escape with their wounded companions, fleeing deeper into the hills.
The operation was a joint effort involving the Pakistan Army, district police, and elite force commandos. Local security officials emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to its zero-tolerance policy on extremism and terrorism. They reassured that the authorities would not rest until the last terrorist is eliminated, ensuring peace and security across the country.
The operation underscores the ongoing fight against insurgents and the government’s determination to eradicate extremism at all levels.
