Khawarij carried out coordinated attacks on police and Levies stations in Sherani district of Balochistan, martyring two personnel and injuring six others, officials said on Wednesday.
According to reports, one policeman and one Levies personnel embraced martyrdom in the assaults. Deputy Commissioner Sherani confirmed that the Khawarij also damaged the communication systems of the targeted stations during the attacks.
Reports said six security personnel sustained injuries in the clashes, prompting authorities to impose an emergency at the Civil Hospital Zhob to ensure immediate medical assistance for the wounded.
Officials noted that the attacks were aimed at undermining security in the region, but added that police and Levies forces, despite losses, put up strong resistance.
