CTD Arrests Three SRA Terrorists in Hyderabad’s Qasimabad

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three terrorists belonging to the banned Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) during an intelligence-based operation in Qasimabad, Hyderabad.

According to CTD officials, the suspects were identified as Aamir Latif, Shoaib Chang, and Shaban Chang. The arrests were made after intelligence reports indicated the presence of SRA operatives in the locality, planning acts of sabotage.

The officials said the suspects are believed to be linked with several subversive activities carried out by the SRA in Sindh, including attacks on infrastructure and law enforcement personnel aimed at destabilising the province. They added that the group has previously targeted railway tracks, power pylons, and other installations in an attempt to spread fear and disrupt public life.

The detained men have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation. CTD officials noted that their arrest is expected to provide significant leads on the network’s operational structure and funding channels.

The SRA, which has been designated a terrorist organisation, has been involved in separatist violence in Sindh for several years. Security officials reiterated that operations will continue across the province to dismantle its network and ensure peace and stability.
