Security Forces Demolish Khawarij Member’s House After Bannu Attack

In a targeted post-attack operation, security forces demolished the residence of an alleged Khawarij member in the Gamberkhel area within the jurisdiction of the Mirakhel Police Station. According to official sources, the action follows the recent terrorist attack on the Fathkhel police post, in which a key suspect, Tariq son of Gamberkhel, was reportedly involved. He was killed in retaliatory fire by the police during the assault.

Security sources confirmed that the operation was part of a broader response to the Fathkhel incident, which resulted in the elimination of five alleged Khawarij fighters. The attack also claimed the life of a police officer and left three others injured.

Authorities stated that operations against the Khawarij will continue without pause and reiterated that no leniency will be shown to any elements involved in destabilizing the region.

“The state will pursue every last member of the Khawarij with full force. Such barbaric attacks on our law enforcement personnel will meet with decisive and uncompromising action,” a senior security official said. The incident underscores the ongoing commitment of the security forces to restore peace and uphold the writ of the state in sensitive regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
