Fierce clashes continued for the second consecutive day in the Kohak area of Kalat, Balochistan, as security forces intensified their efforts under Operation Pehrud Cleanser, delivering major blows to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan network, commonly operating under the banner of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
According to security sources, nine operatives of Fitna-al-Hindustan were eliminated since yesterday, including a key commander identified as Sohaib alias “Charsi.” The ongoing operation is targeting foreign-backed subversive elements responsible for destabilizing peace in the region.
“Fitna-al-Hindustan is crumbling under sustained pressure. Their manpower is thinning, command structure disintegrating, and operational capability severely degraded,” a senior security official stated.
Since the launch of Operation Pehrud Cleanser, forces have successfully dismantled hideouts, severed communication lines, and neutralized multiple field operatives, significantly weakening the hostile network. The daily losses have disrupted the group’s capacity to regroup or retaliate.
The offensive comes in response to growing threats posed by India-backed violent proxies, with officials repeatedly highlighting New Delhi’s sponsorship of insurgent networks in Balochistan as part of a broader campaign to fuel unrest.
Security forces have reaffirmed their commitment to continue the operation until every trace of Fitna-al-Hindustan is rooted out from the region. The situation remains tense, and further updates are expected as the operation advances.
