Khawarij Attack Foiled by Security Forces in Lower South Waziristan

Security forces successfully repelled a cowardly attack by the Khawarij on a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpost in the Azam Warsak Bazaar area of Lower South Waziristan late Sunday evening. The assailants opened indiscriminate fire on the post in an apparent attempt to destabilize the region and spread fear among the local population.

Security personnel responded with precision and resolve, thwarting the assault and forcing the attackers to retreat. In the exchange, three civilians were reportedly injured by Khawarij gunfire, according to local sources. The injured were swiftly shifted to a nearby medical facility where they are receiving treatment.

The attack is yet another reminder of the persistent threat posed by the Khawarij, who continue to target not only state institutions but also innocent civilians. Despite these provocations, security forces remain unwavering in their mission to restore lasting peace to the region.

A search and clearance operation has been launched in the surrounding areas to locate and apprehend those responsible. Authorities have reiterated their resolve to eliminate the Khawarij and their network with the full force of the state.
