In a fresh act of brutality, the Khawarij once again targeted innocent civilians in North Waziristan, launching a mortar attack that left a woman injured in the Khushhali area of Mir Ali. The mortar shell, fired from an unknown location, struck a private residence without warning, causing fear and panic among local residents. According to sources, the injured woman was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. She is currently under observation and stated to be in stable condition. The mortar round, reportedly fired with no military target in sight, underscores the Khawarij’s continued policy of indiscriminate violence against non-combatants.
This incident is part of a disturbing pattern in which the Khawarij have consistently directed their violence at ordinary citizens, particularly in the tribal districts, in a desperate attempt to sow chaos and undermine peace. Women, children, and the elderly remain the most vulnerable victims of their cowardly tactics.
Authorities have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to locate those responsible. Enhanced security measures have also been introduced to protect civilian lives and prevent future attacks.
Officials condemned the attack in the strongest possible terms, reiterating that the Khawarij rejected by the people and the state alike will be pursued relentlessly. “Targeting defenceless civilians reveals the true face of the Khawarij. These enemies of peace will be brought to justice, and their networks will be dismantled with full force,” official stated.
The people of North Waziristan have long stood resilient in the face of violence. The state remains firmly committed to defending their right to peace and security by neutralising every trace of Khawarij ideology and eliminating its agents from Pakistani soil.
