Nine TTP Khawarij Neutralized in South Waziristan Intelligence-Based Operation

Security forces successfully neutralized nine members of the proscribed TTP-Khawarij network among them Afghan nationals during a precision intelligence-based operation (IBO) targeting militant hideouts in the Wana, Azam Warsak, Kalosha, and Karamzai Stop areas of South Waziristan. One soldier embraced martyrdom in the line of duty. According to security sources, the operation was launched on verified intelligence regarding the presence of TTP-Khawarij operatives involved in recent attacks on security personnel and civilians. A fierce exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the elimination of nine Khawarij, who were reportedly planning further acts of sabotage in the region.

Among the neutralized militants were Afghan terrorists affiliated with the TTP, underscoring the transnational nature of the threat and the group’s continued reliance on cross-border sanctuaries. During the operation, one brave soldier of the Pakistan Armed Forces laid down his life while fighting gallantly against the enemies of peace. “The martyr’s sacrifice will not go in vain. Operations against the Khawarij will continue until the last remnant is eliminated,” an official statement noted.

Security forces have recovered arms, ammunition, and explosive materials from the neutralized elements. Clearance operations are ongoing to ensure the area is free from any remaining threats. Authorities reaffirmed their resolve to root out the Khawarij and their foreign collaborators, declaring that such operations will continue with full force until lasting peace is restored in the tribal districts.
