Iran Foils Twin Terror Plots: Drones & Explosives Seized in Major Sting

Iranian intelligence forces have thwarted two major terror plots in a dramatic series of operations that uncovered a suicide drone cell and a large cache of explosives in Tehran.

In the first operation, authorities intercepted a suspicious vehicle in Pishva County carrying eight fully assembled drones. The driver, detained on the spot, revealed the location of a hidden drone workshop. A swift raid on the site led to the seizure of 15 additional drones, dealing a significant blow to what officials believe was a well-planned terrorist plot targeting key infrastructure.

In a separate incident the same day, security forces responded to local reports of unusual activity in Tehran’s Navab district. A search of the premises uncovered 127 kilograms of explosive materials—sulfur, potassium nitrate, phosphorus—and three liters of liquid explosives. A suspect, newly arrived in the area, was arrested at the scene.

Authorities are investigating possible links between the two plots. With regional tensions rising, Iranian officials are praising the swift actions of security forces and urging continued public vigilance
