A civilian was seriously injured in the Torakhel Shandara area of Tehsil Baizai, Mohmand district, when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by the Khawarij declared enemies of the state exploded in a brazen attempt to target security forces. According to official sources, the explosive device had been deliberately planted by the Khawarij with the intent to harm security personnel. However, in a tragic turn of events, it struck an innocent passerby, identified as Muhammad, son of Fero Shah, who sustained critical injuries.
Rescue 1122 Mohmand responded immediately to the incident. A medical team reached the site within minutes, administered first aid, and transferred the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital in Ghalanai for further treatment.
This despicable act is yet another glaring example of the Khawarij’s enmity towards the people and the state. Not only do they attack those defending the nation, but they also show no hesitation in endangering the lives of innocent civilians a testament to their cowardice and inhumanity.
The authorities have launched a probe into the incident. Security forces remain committed to eliminating the threat of Khawarij from the region and ensuring the safety and peace of its citizens.
