In a significant move to counter Indian aggression and disinformation in the wake of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, the high-level diplomatic committee formed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was formally briefed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Chaired by former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the committee—comprising seasoned diplomats and former foreign ministers—was updated by senior Foreign Office officials on the latest developments in Pakistan-India relations and the broader regional landscape. The briefing included a comprehensive analysis of the current diplomatic, security, and strategic environment following India’s provocative actions.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, detailed deliberations were held with visiting high-level delegations, focusing on Pakistan’s principled stance, evolving regional dynamics, and the path forward in light of India’s recent belligerence. The session underscored the urgency of projecting Pakistan’s narrative to international forums with clarity and conviction.
The spokesperson further stated that a diplomatic mission will soon embark on a crucial visit to key capitals to present Pakistan’s position and expose India’s hostile policies and propaganda before the global community.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had constituted the special committee in response to recent hostilities, assigning it the mandate to highlight Indian aggression, mobilize international opinion, and safeguard Pakistan’s national interest through proactive diplomacy.
