Four Children Killed, Dozens Injured in Suicide Attack on School Bus in Khuzdar

In a heinous act of violence that has shaken Balochistan and reignited national concern over the safety of schoolchildren, Indian proxies targeted a school bus in Khuzdar on Wednesday, killing at least six people, including four children, and injuring more than 38 others.

The blast occurred on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway near Zero Point, where a vehicle rigged with explosives was parked along the roadside. According to initial reports, the device was detonated remotely or through suicide activation as the bus, carrying dozens of children, passed by. The explosion tore through the vehicle, shattering windows and flinging debris across the busy highway.

Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar confirmed the nature of the attack as a suicide bombing, saying, “Four young lives were tragically lost and 38 others wounded, some critically. All injured have been shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for urgent medical treatment.” Emergency responders and law enforcement agencies launched a swift rescue and investigation operation soon after the blast.

Security forces immediately sealed off the area and launched a search for any accomplices or support networks behind the attack. Bomb disposal units and intelligence teams are gathering forensic evidence to determine the exact composition and mechanism of the explosive device.

The gruesome targeting of schoolchildren has drawn widespread condemnation from across the country, with civil society, political leaders, and human rights organisations denouncing the assault as a barbaric attack on innocence.
