Field Marshal Asim Munir Expresses Gratitude, Dedicates Honor to Nation and Martyrs

Pakistan’s newly appointed Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has expressed deep gratitude upon receiving the nation’s highest military rank, stating that he is thankful to Almighty Allah for this honour.

In an official statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir said: “I dedicate this honour to the entire nation, the armed forces of Pakistan, especially the civil and military martyrs and veterans who have made great sacrifices for the country.”

He further stated that the title of Field Marshal is a national trust, and pledged that “millions of Asims are ready to sacrifice in order to uphold it.”

Field Marshal Munir also expressed gratitude to the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the federal cabinet for their confidence in him, emphasising that the honour is not an individual achievement, but one shared by the entire nation and the Pakistan Armed Forces.

It is worth noting that the federal government approved General Syed Asim Munir’s promotion to Field Marshal in a recent cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the official statement, the promotion was granted in recognition of General Munir’s exceptional leadership and strategic brilliance during Operation Bunyān al-Marsoos, which led to the decisive defeat of hostile elements.
