President Zardari Visits Gujranwala Cantonment, Lauds Armed Forces for Operational Excellence in Marqa-e-Haq

The Honourable President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, visited Gujranwala Cantonment today, accompanied by Federal Interior Minister Mr. Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi. The President was warmly received by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), along with senior military leadership including Commanders of Mangla and Gujranwala Corps.

During his visit, President Zardari praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their unwavering professionalism and exemplary execution of Marqa-e-Haq, a recent military operation that showcased the nation’s defensive strength in response to unprovoked aggression. He highlighted the Armed Forces’ unshakable courage and strategic precision, emphasizing that their swift and resolute response within hours was a testament to Pakistan’s military readiness and national unity.

Paying homage to the martyrs, both military and civilian, the President solemnly affirmed that their sacrifices are a sacred trust and a source of enduring pride for the nation. “The sons of the soil, fortified by the spirit of the people, defended the motherland with unmatched valour and thwarted hostile designs with exceptional operational acumen,” he stated.

President Zardari also engaged with officers and troops, commending their high morale, combat preparedness, and dedication to duty. He congratulated the Armed Forces on the successful culmination of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering support and admiration for its defenders.

“The people of Pakistan hold their brave soldiers in the highest esteem as the true custodians of our national honour and sovereignty,” the President said, underscoring the vital role of the military in safeguarding the nation’s peace and integrity.
