On 14 April 2025, a total of 2,471 Afghan nationals were repatriated from Hamza Baba Transit Point, Landi Kotal, in one of the largest single-day movements this month.
According to official figures, the repatriation included:
215 families (1,303 individuals) returning under the Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) category
229 families (1,168 individuals) identified as illegal migrants
No movement was recorded under the Proof of Registration (POR) category
The demographic breakdown showed 444 men, 414 women, and 1,613 children, underlining the presence of a significant number of minors in the returning population. A total of 444 families were processed.
From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) alone, 27 families (185 individuals) under ACC and 18 families (90 individuals) categorized as illegal migrants were among those repatriated.
The figures reflect the growing pressure on Afghan nationals to return amid ongoing enforcement drives and rising regional tensions. Humanitarian groups continue to express concern over the scale and pace of returns, especially for vulnerable groups like women and children.
