23 Khawarij Eliminated in 101 Intelligence-Based Operations Across KP in July

Security forces carried out 101 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the month of July, resulting in the elimination of 23 Khawarij.

The coordinated operations were launched as part of an intensified counter-Khawarij campaign targeting their hideouts and networks. The districts where the IBOs were conducted include Bannu, South Waziristan, Tank, North Waziristan, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Hangu. According to security sources, five Khawarij were killed each in Bannu, South Waziristan, and Tank. Three were neutralised in North Waziristan, two in Kohat, two in Dera Ismail Khan, and one in Hangu.

A large quantity of weapons was also recovered during the month-long operations, including 25 rifles, 16 sub-machine guns (SMGs), 14 rocket launchers, 13 mortar shells, and 12 pistols. Officials noted that the operations, based on actionable intelligence, had dealt a substantial blow to the operational structure of the Khawarij in the province. They reaffirmed the resolve of the security forces to continue such targeted operations until lasting peace and stability are restored in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
