At least 152 personnel of law enforcement agencies and civilians were martyred, while 302 others sustained injuries in various acts of terrorism across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the first three months of the current year, according to a report issued by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The CTD report revealed that among the martyrs were 45 civilians and 37 police personnel, while 127 civilians and 46 police officers were injured. The report further detailed that 29 personnel and officers of other law enforcement forces were martyred and 74 injured during the same period. Additionally, 34 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred and 43 wounded in different incidents.
The highest number of casualties was reported from Bannu district, where 124 personnel and civilians were either martyred or injured. In Khyber tribal district, 42 casualties were reported, while 41 individuals both civilians and security personnel—were either martyred or injured in North Waziristan.
Furthermore, seven khasadar personnel and officials of other law enforcement institutions embraced martyrdom and 12 were wounded, the report concluded.
