Security forces have successfully eliminated 11 terrorists in separate intelligence-driven and reactive operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 and the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.
According to security sources, six terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during an operation in the Gorander area of Mashkel, Balochistan, following an armed attack on a security checkpost.
The terrorists opened fire on the security installation in an apparent attempt to target security personnel and subsequently tried to flee from the area. Security forces responded swiftly and effectively, engaging the attackers and neutralising all six terrorists. The successful response prevented the hostile elements from causing further harm and demonstrated the operational readiness and vigilance of the security forces.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces eliminated five terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khwarij, according to security sources.
The operation was conducted on the basis of actionable intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, the terrorists’ hideouts were destroyed, significantly disrupting their ability to use the location as a base for terrorist activities and attacks.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists killed during the operation. The recovery of arms and ammunition is expected to further assist in efforts to identify and disrupt the terrorist network and its operational capabilities.
The successful elimination of 11 terrorists in the two separate operations underscores the continued resolve of the security forces to identify, pursue and neutralise terrorist elements wherever they seek to establish a foothold.
The operations also reflect the effectiveness of intelligence-based counter-terrorism measures and the coordinated efforts being undertaken to safeguard the lives and property of citizens. Security forces remain fully committed to maintaining peace and stability and to preventing hostile elements from exploiting any part of the country for terrorist activities.
Under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 and in line with the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, security forces will continue intelligence-led operations against terrorist elements and their facilitators. The campaign remains focused on dismantling terrorist networks, destroying their hideouts and infrastructure, disrupting their access to weapons and ammunition, and ensuring that such elements are unable to threaten national security
