Security personnel repelled an attack by terrorists on the Cross Customs Check post in Ziarat district of Balochistan, eliminating 10 attackers while six personnel sustained injuries during the exchange of fire.
According to initial reports, the terrorists launched an armed assault on the customs check post, attempting to overwhelm the security personnel deployed there. The attack was met with immediate resistance, forcing the attackers into a fierce exchange of fire.
Security personnel effectively engaged the attackers and thwarted their attempt to breach the check post. Ten terrorists were eliminated during the operation, while six personnel sustained injuries.
Following the attack, security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding area to track down any terrorists who may have escaped from the scene.
The injured personnel were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Their condition was not immediately available.
Security has been tightened across the area following the attack, with additional personnel deployed at key points to prevent any further attempt to target security installations or public infrastructure.
The attack comes amid continued terrorist activity in Balochistan, where security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks seeking to destabilize the province.
