In a disturbing continuation of violence in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the beheaded body of a civilian was recovered on Sunday morning near Wanda Jogi, located in the jurisdiction of Pizo Police Station, Lakki Marwat.

According to police officials, the victim had been brutally killed, with the head placed beside the body. A handwritten note was also found at the scene, containing threats aimed at civilians and warnings from terrorists believed to be affiliated with the Fitna Al-Khawarij. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim as investigations are ongoing.

The murder follows a similarly brutal incident in Tank district, where a young man named Iftiaz, son of Ejaz Ahmed, was abducted from his village Amakhel and later found executed. Security sources describe both killings as part of a pattern of escalating targeted violence against civilians in the region.

Officials say there is no confirmed link between the victims and any state institution. Residents in both districts have condemned the killings, calling them deliberate acts of terror against innocent people.

The incidents have sparked panic and anger among local communities, with citizens and tribal elders demanding that the government and military launch a decisive operation against Khawarij operating in the region.

Security forces have cordoned off both scenes and launched separate search operations. Authorities say counter-terrorism efforts will be intensified to prevent further civilian casualties.
