Security forces on Monday Eliminated a wanted terrorist, Sanaullah Agha, along with two associates during a Counter Terrorism Department operation in the Karbala area of Pishin district, Balochistan, officials said.
According to security sources, the CTD Quetta team conducted an intelligence-based raid early on January 26 on the residence of Sanaullah Agha, who was wanted in multiple terrorism-related cases. The operation involved a convoy of approximately 30 to 35 vehicles.
Officials said Sanaullah Agha had recently come under scrutiny after a video circulating on social media showed him using abusive language against the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, the Deputy Inspector General, and the Superintendent of Police Pishin.
During the raid, the terrorists opened fire on security personnel, triggering a heavy exchange of gunfire. Sources said Sanaullah Agha was initially injured during the encounter and attempted to evade capture, prompting security forces to continue the operation and tighten the cordon around the area.
After sustained engagement lasting several hours, CTD personnel killed Sanaullah Agha and his two accomplices in the ensuing firefight. Officials confirmed that the two associates were his brothers and were also wanted in terrorism-related cases.
Security officials said weapons were recovered from the suspects, while clearance and search operations are continuing in and around the area to rule out the presence of any additional militants.
Authorities noted that the operation is part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces have recently neutralized several key operatives and commanders linked to banned militant organizations, including the banned BLA, BLF, and TTP.
