Wanted Khariji, North Waziristan, intelligence-based operation (IBO), Khawarij, cross-border infiltration

Security forces successfully neutralized a wanted khariji during a swift intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Bar Kaly area of Spinwam, North Waziristan, in the early hours of June 23.

The operation, launched on the basis of credible intelligence, targeted a suspected khariji affiliated with the banned Khawarij network. The individual, identified as Shahid Ullah, a known associate of the “Jannati Group” led by Eid Marjan, was killed in the action. He was reportedly involved in various acts of violence and had long been under observation by intelligence agencies.

Security officials stated that the operation was part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region. The swift action reflects the continued vigilance of the security forces in tracking and eliminating threats to national security.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, on June 19, security forces had eliminated an Afghan national affiliated with the Khawarij in another precise intelligence-based operation in the Surdaag village of Spinwam tehsil, also in North Waziristan.

According to security sources, that operation was conducted following actionable intelligence regarding the presence of a high-value target involved in cross-border infiltration and subversive activities. After a brief exchange of fire, the khariji was killed, effectively neutralising a significant threat in the border region.

The presence of such operatives in North Waziristan continues to pose serious security challenges, but authorities reaffirm their commitment to taking swift, decisive action against any elements aiming to destabilise the region.
