Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the Umar Khel area of district Tank, killing two khawarij. The operation was carried out with the cooperation of local residents, and the terrorists’ hideouts were completely destroyed.
According to sources, the operation took place late at night following confirmed intelligence about the presence of khawarij. During the exchange of fire, both wanted khawarij were killed on the spot. Weapons, explosives, and other critical documents were also recovered from their possession.
Intelligence agencies stated that the slain khawarij were involved in multiple attacks on security forces and sabotage activities in Tank and surrounding areas. Investigations are underway regarding other facilitators possibly hiding in the area.
Sources further confirmed that all security personnel involved in the operation remained unharmed, thanks in part to the support from the local population.
The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to continue operations against khawarij with the same resolve and consistency to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
