In a significant development against Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) networks, two key operatives associated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) were neutralised on July 21. The operation targeted individuals linked to the shadowy FAH intelligence network known as Zirab, which supports the notorious Fida alias Guman group operating in the region.
The two men, Nazeer (also known as Faraz) and Noor Muhammad (alias Boochhoo), had been active members of the Fida alias Guman network since 2022, playing a crucial role in logistics, funding distribution, and recruitment. They regularly visited the group’s camps and were responsible for encouraging youth from the Awn and Jhao areas to join their ranks, successfully enrolling several new recruits.
Authorities say these operatives were involved in multiple violent acts, including the targeted killings of law enforcement informants. Their activities include the murders of Majeed Mirwani in July 2023 and Abbas (known as Habbal) in August 2024. They were also implicated in the kidnapping and killing of another informant, Ahmed Bakhsh, in September 2024. More recently, they took part in an attack on a security post in Anoundra earlier this month.
This operation, informed by intelligence from a recently surrendered militant, dealt a critical blow to the FAH Zirab network and the BLF’s Fida alias Guman group. Removing these key facilitators disrupts their ability to fund, supply, and recruit, significantly weakening the group’s foothold in the region.
Officials emphasise the importance of continued vigilance and community cooperation to prevent these groups from regaining strength and to ensure lasting peace in the area.
