Pakistan’s Security forces have killed two highly wanted militants during an operation in the Chuni Machan area of Tank district, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The militants, identified as Commander Tor Bettani and Commander Abrar, were reportedly involved in multiple acts of terrorism and were on security agencies’ most-wanted lists.
According to sources, the operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area. An exchange of fire took place, during which both commanders were neutralized.
Officials described the operation as a significant success, noting that the elimination of key militant figures is expected to disrupt local networks and weaken operational capabilities.
Security forces have also launched a clearance operation in the surrounding area to ensure that no other militants remain present.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to continuing intelligence-based operations aimed at eliminating terrorism and maintaining stability in the region.
