Security forces conducted a targeted intelligence-based operation in the Nargama area of Kalat on March 27, 2026, intercepting the movement of terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan along the Sohand–Pandran road, according to security officials.

Acting on credible and timely intelligence, forces swiftly moved to cordon off the identified route, effectively trapping the group. As troops closed in, the terrorists opened fire, triggering an intense exchange that lasted for a considerable duration.

During the firefight, two terrorists were killed on the spot, while one sustained serious injury. Security sources confirmed that intercepted terrorist communications, or chatter, also verified the casualties, indicating disruption within the group’s operational chain. At least one suspect is believed to have managed to flee under the cover of terrain and darkness.

The Security Pivot

Officials describe the operation as part of a broader effort to dismantle militant networks attempting to regroup in parts of Balochistan. Fitna al-Hindustan-linked elements have been increasingly active in remote corridors, using rugged routes such as Sohand–Pandran to facilitate movement, logistics, and potential attacks.

Following the encounter, the entire area has been placed under a tight security cordon. Surveillance, both ground and aerial, has been intensified to prevent any regrouping or escape. Reinforcements have been deployed, and a comprehensive clearance operation is underway to track down fleeing terrorists and eliminate any remaining threats.

Security officials noted that such operations are critical in maintaining pressure on terrorist outfits and denying them safe operating space. The latest action reflects a continued strategy of intelligence-led strikes aimed at preempting attacks and ensuring the safety of local populations.

The operation comes amid heightened counterterrorism efforts across Balochistan, where security forces remain engaged in sustained campaigns to dismantle networks involved in subversive and terrorist activities. Authorities have reiterated their resolve to continue operations until all such elements are neutralized and the area is fully secured.
