In a chilling act of terrorism, nine innocent passengers including two real brothers were brutally executed after being abducted from passenger buses in the Sardhaka area of Balochistan’s Loralai district late Thursday night. The bodies have been transferred to Dera Ghazi Khan, where Border Military Police have taken custody for transport to their native towns in Punjab.
According to administrative sources, the victims were traveling from Quetta to Lahore when armed militants intercepted two passenger coaches near the volatile Zhob-Loralai border. The terrorists offloaded the passengers at gunpoint, selectively identified them, and shot them dead in cold blood leaving a trail of horror and grief.
“The victims were targeted and murdered with ruthless precision. Among them were two brothers, adding a tragic layer to an already barbaric attack,” an official confirmed.
The massacre was claimed by the banned separatist outfit Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), whose spokesperson boasted responsibility. In a chilling statement, the group declared that it had blocked the highway between Musakhel-Mukhtar and Khajuri, intercepted the Quetta-Lahore coaches, and executed nine passengers after confirming their identities.
The incident has sent shockwaves across the country, reigniting concerns about the growing audacity of insurgent groups operating in Balochistan. While the authorities scramble to secure the region, grieving families await the return of their loved ones—murdered not for any crime, but for being passengers on a road riddled with fear.
As the coffins arrive in Punjab, so too does a renewed demand for justice, accountability, and an uncompromising crackdown on terrorism that continues to strike at the heart of Pakistan’s national unity.
