Security forces killed two terrorists affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) during an operation near Jussak Cross in the Makran Range, Kech district. No casualties or losses were reported among security personnel.
Sources said authorities received information about a suspect, Nargis, from Balicha, Tehsil Tump, moving with BLA terrorists in a silver Toyota Corolla. In response, checkpoints and vehicle inspections were established across the area to intercept the vehicle.
When the vehicle attempted to evade a checkpoint near Jussak Border, the Quick Reaction Force (QRF), patrolling nearby Singhanisar, pursued it. As the vehicle approached Jussak Cross, the terrorists inside opened fire. Security forces returned fire, killing two terrorists on the spot.
One of the deceased has been identified as Salim, a known terrorist wanted for the past two years and involved in multiple militant activities. Identification of the second militant is ongoing, complicated by a headshot sustained during the exchange.
The area was cordoned off by QRF teams, and the vehicle was cleared. Weapons, equipment, and ammunition were recovered during the operation. Officials described the action as a major success, neutralizing high-risk targets and preventing any threat to civilians.
