In a significant display of bilateral brotherhood, the Turkish Navy’s advanced warship, TCG Buyukada, arrived at Karachi Port on a goodwill mission. The vessel received a warm and ceremonial welcome, marked by the presence of Pakistan Navy personnel, senior military officials, Turkish diplomats, and local dignitaries.

Against the backdrop of fluttering flags and resonating national anthems, the arrival ceremony symbolised the enduring and robust ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.

According to the ISPR, this goodwill visit aims to bolster professional collaboration between the naval forces of the two brotherly nations and reflects a joint commitment to regional peace and stability. A series of professional exchanges, joint drills, and strategic discussions are scheduled during the stay, focusing on maritime security, defence cooperation, and technical coordination.

The TCG Buyukada, one of the most advanced “Ada-class” warships of the Turkish Navy, is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons, radar, sonar, and electronic warfare systems. It has demonstrated its capabilities in maritime surveillance, counter-terrorism, and defence missions.

ISPR further noted that the Turkish warship’s visit not only reflects the strategic depth of Pak-Turk defence relations but also promotes cultural harmony and public-level goodwill. The longstanding relationship between the two navies has always been rooted in mutual trust, respect, and shared values—this visit is set to strengthen that foundation even further.
