TTP Intelligence Wing Head Killed in Security Operation in Dera Ghazi Khan

In a significant intelligence-based operation, security forces eliminated the head of the South Waziristan Intelligence Wing of the banned militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), along with another terrorist, in the Tank Sharif area of Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to official sources, the operation was launched on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of high-value targets from the group designated by the state as fitna al-khawarij. Upon being intercepted, the terrorists opened fire on security personnel, prompting a swift and effective retaliatory response.

During the ensuing gun battle, the chief of the TTP’s South Waziristan Intelligence Wing, Saifullah alias Abdul Musabir al-Shami, was killed along with his accomplice, Mohammad Anas. The identities and affiliations of the slain militants were later corroborated through TTP-linked social media accounts.

Security sources confirmed that the deceased terrorists were actively involved in orchestrating operations against the state, and their presence in the region posed a significant threat to public safety.

Following the operation, security forces successfully cleared the area and initiated a comprehensive search to neutralise any remaining threats and ensure long-term stability in the region.
