TTP Facing Heavy Losses in Pakistan as Afghan Khawarij Networks Crumble

Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism operations have dealt a severe blow to Afghan Khawarij networks, with nearly one hundred Taliban fighters being eliminated on Pakistani soil every month. The relentless campaign has not only dismantled TTP’s local infrastructure but also forced Afghan elements to take the brunt of losses, exposing the Taliban regime’s duplicity and failures.

According to security officials, the presence of indigenous TTP fighters inside Pakistan has largely faded. Today, the majority of those confronting Pakistani forces are Afghan nationals who infiltrated under the Taliban’s watch. This shift underscores the reality that Afghanistan continues to serve as the primary hub for groups plotting attacks against Pakistan.

The sustained losses have triggered an unprecedented rift within the Taliban’s leadership. Reports indicate that Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada and Sirajuddin Haqqani have exchanged sharp words over the ongoing elimination of Afghan Taliban operatives by Pakistan. The weakening of their networks and depletion of manpower have sparked panic within their ranks.

Pakistani forces, however, remain resolute. Backed by intelligence-driven operations, security personnel have systematically targeted infiltration routes, safe havens, and sleeper cells. These decisive actions have restored confidence among local communities while sending a clear message to hostile actors: Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used as a playground for foreign-sponsored militancy.

Analysts note that while Taliban leaders scramble to manage dissent and dwindling manpower, Pakistan has successfully shifted the momentum. The exposure of Afghan nationals as the main aggressors has strengthened Islamabad’s case on global platforms, proving that cross-border terrorism emanates from Afghan territory despite repeated assurances by Kabul.

Officials reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve, stating: “Our fight is for the protection of our people, our sovereignty, and our future. Those who attack Pakistan regardless of nationality will be eliminated without hesitation.”
