In a high-level gathering organised by the Pakistan Army, Corps Commander Peshawar, Lieutenant General Umar Ahmed Bukhari, held a special session with tribal elders, religious scholars, and local dignitaries from D.I. Khan and Tank. The attendees reaffirmed their unwavering support for the armed forces in the fight against the militant group known as Khawarij.
According to Express News, the event saw a large turnout from community leaders, religious figures, local journalists, and members of the civil administration. The gathering aimed to strengthen ties between the military and local communities, focusing on regional peace and counter-terrorism efforts.
Participants praised the Pakistan Army’s relentless efforts and sacrifices in restoring law and order, expressing their resolve to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with security forces against extremist threats. They commended the military’s operations against Khwarij elements and pledged full cooperation to root out militancy from the region.
Lieutenant General Bukhari assured the attendees that the army is committed not only to restoring peace but also to supporting development and prosperity in the area. He emphasized that militant elements have no place in society and warned that the only option for them is to surrender to the state.
The Corps Commander also listened to community concerns and vowed to continue efforts in education, healthcare, and youth development—particularly emphasising education for girls.
In strong statements during the event, participants condemned Indian propaganda and false flag operations such as Pulwama and the recent Pahalgam incident, asserting that India’s narrative has lost credibility on the global stage. They declared that Pakistan will not allow India to destabilise the region and vowed to thwart any hostile agenda.
