Tragedy in Lakki Marwat: FC Clerk and Wife Martyred in Khawarij Gun Attack

A devastating Khawarij attack in the Ghazni Khel area of Lakki Marwat claimed the lives of a Frontier Corps (FC) official and his wife on Friday, security sources confirmed.

Miraj-ud-Din, an FC Balochistan clerk who was on leave, was traveling with his wife on a motorcycle when armed assailants on another motorcycle opened fire on them near Tatta Bashi Khel, within the Ghazni Khel jurisdiction. The attackers affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij fled toward Tittar Khel following the incident.

Miraj-ud-Din was martyred on the spot, while his wife sustained critical injuries. She was initially rushed to DHQ Hospital Tajazai and later referred to a hospital in Bannu due to the severity of her condition. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries en route.

Police arrived at the crime scene soon after the attack, collected evidence, and have launched a formal investigation into the incident.

This deadly assault marks yet another act of terrorism in the region, raising concerns over the persistent threat posed by Fitna al-Khawarij.
