Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Security forces successfully neutralised a high-profile terrorist commander affiliated with the banned group Fitnah al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Ali Khel, a sensitive area in District Tank.
According to security sources, intelligence revealed that a group of ten militants had infiltrated the area with the intention of kidnapping a local resident. In a swift and precise response, security forces launched a targeted operation, resulting in the death of commander Abid, a notorious militant listed as a most-wanted terrorist by the state. Two other militants were critically wounded during the encounter.
Further investigation revealed that Abid was the brother of senior Khawarij commander Maulvi Jamshed, both of whom were involved in multiple terrorist activities across the region.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the remaining militants and dismantle any support networks linked to the group.
This successful strike marks another critical blow to the Khawarij insurgency and demonstrates the relentless resolve of Pakistani security forces in countering terrorism and safeguarding civilian lives.
