Three soldiers of the Frontier Corps (FC) embraced martyrdom while four others sustained injuries when Khawarij attacked a security checkpoint in the Balgatar area of Panjgur district. According to security sources, the troops responded swiftly and effectively to the assault, killing three Khawarij on the spot, while another was captured in injured condition. Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace remaining elements involved in the incident.
The sources added that the injured personnel were shifted to a nearby medical facility, while the security forces continued the clearance operation in and around the area to ensure peace and stability. Security officials reaffirmed that such cowardly acts by the Khawarij cannot weaken the resolve of Pakistan’s forces and people in their unwavering fight to eliminate the menace of extremism and restore lasting peace in Balochistan.
