Three people were killed in separate incidents in Bannu district, including an individual described by local authorities as an alleged facilitator linked to a terrorist network.
According to police and local sources, Shahid, son of Mir Khatam, was killed near Kinger Bridge in Bannu. Members of a local peace committee claimed that the deceased was a close associate and facilitator of the group led by terrorist commander Akhtar Muhammad.
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the killing, and an investigation is underway.
In a separate incident, police recovered the bodies of two men from the Domel Link Road area of Bannu district.
The deceased were identified as Ghazi Marjan and Parvez. According to police, both men had allegedly been abducted by terrorists before being killed.
Law enforcement officials took custody of the bodies and shifted them for legal formalities and further investigation.
Police said efforts are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the abductions and identify those responsible for the killings.
The incidents come amid ongoing security challenges in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where authorities continue counterterrorism operations against Fitna al-Khwarij and affiliated terrorist networks.
Officials have reiterated their commitment to pursuing those involved in terrorist activities and ensuring that those responsible for acts of violence are brought to justice.
