Three Khawarij were neutralised when they attempted to target a convoy in the North Waziristan district, officials confirmed. The incident occurred around 12:45pm, when a routine administrative convoy was moving from a local headquarters to a nearby post. As the vehicles reached the area near Grid Reference 743991, they came under sudden fire from Khawarij operatives hiding among dense shrubs and kikkar trees.
Swift and effective response ensured that the threat was contained. Initial reports confirm that three Khawarij were neutralised during the engagement.Two individuals accompanying the convoy sustained injuries. They have been identified as: Havaldar Hakeem, who received a bullet wound to the hand. Havaldar Zia-ur-Rehman, who sustained multiple injuries to the foot.
Both are reported to be in stable condition after being shifted to a nearby medical facility. Surveillance efforts were initiated in the area to ensure that no further threats remained. Authorities stated that additional details would be released after further assessments are completed.
