Security forces carried out a successful counter-terrorism operation near the Jhalar mountain range in the Gharwas area, close to the town of Yaro, eliminating three terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) or Fitna Al-Hindustan as declared by the state, official sources confirmed Tuesday.

The neutralized terrorists were identified as members of the notorious Aslam Achu faction of the Fitna Al-Hindustan, a group widely blamed for orchestrating a string of deadly attacks across the region. According to intelligence reports, the terrorists were attempting to infiltrate a sensitive area, reportedly planning a large-scale assault similar to previous high-casualty attacks seen in 2024.

Acting on timely intelligence, security forces launched a swift and targeted strike, effectively thwarting the terrorists’ plan before they could carry out their operation. The encounter took place within the jurisdiction of the Gharwas Levies Police Station, with ground teams supported by surveillance units.

Sources further revealed that the slain terrorists were involved in numerous high-profile crimes, including the brutal killing of 21 labourers, abductions of government employees and innocent civilians, and repeated assaults on public infrastructure and state property.

The operation marks a significant blow to Indian-backed BLA’s operational capabilities in northern Balochistan and has been hailed by security analysts as a proactive step in stabilising the region.

Security remains heightened in the area, and further search operations are ongoing to ensure no additional threats remain. Local communities have welcomed the action, expressing relief and appreciation for the swift response of the armed forces.
