In a fiery statement, Khalistan movement leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has warned that if India launches an attack on Pakistan, it will mark the “final war” for both India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He declared that Indian Punjab will break free from New Delhi’s control and pave the way for the creation of a new independent Sikh state — Khalistan.

Speaking on recent tensions between India and Pakistan, Pannun stated, “If India dares to attack Pakistan, it will be Modi’s last war. Punjab will rise and break the chains of Indian occupation. A new nation will be born.”

He went on to express solidarity with Pakistan, saying, “Indian Punjab will stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan — as its backbone. We will serve ‘langar’ (community meals) for the Pakistan Army within Indian Punjab, and we will stand against the Indian military.”

Calling on Pakistan for political support, the Khalistan leader urged the Pakistani government to raise the issue of the Khalistan Referendum at the United Nations. “Pakistan must table our case at the UN. It is not just a political movement — it is a question of our freedom and dignity,” he asserted.

Pannun also revealed that pro-Khalistan sentiment is rising in Indian Punjab, especially among military cantonment zones. He claimed that wall chalking have appeared in these areas urging Sikh soldiers not to fight against Pakistan.

These remarks come amid a wave of anti-Sikh crackdowns across Indian Punjab and increased surveillance of separatist voices, further fuelling separatist sentiment.
