An explosion caused by planted explosive material damaged the property of a prominent local peace committee member in the border area of Abbasa Khattak, situated between Karak and Lakki Marwat, raising fresh security concerns in the region.
According to initial reports, unknown individuals targeted the solar-powered tube well of Humayun Khan, a leading member of the local peace committee. The blast resulted in partial damage to the solar tube well and the adjacent house. Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries were reported.
The incident has heightened tension among residents, as the attack appears to be a deliberate act aimed at intimidating individuals involved in maintaining peace and stability in the area. Local sources described the explosion as loud enough to be heard in nearby localities, causing panic among villagers.
Police and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the site after receiving information about the blast. Law enforcement officials have begun preliminary investigations, cordoned off the area, and are collecting evidence to determine the nature of the explosive material and identify those responsible.
