In a late-night incident, terrorists launched an armed assault on the residence of a police constable in Lakki Marwat, but were forced to retreat after a valiant response by the constable and local residents.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu, Sajjad Khan, took immediate notice of the incident and personally contacted the affected police official via phone. He lauded the constable’s courage and resilience in the face of the attack.
RPO Sajjad Khan issued clear instructions to the District Police Officer (DPO) Lakki Marwat to ensure that the police stand shoulder to shoulder with the public at all times and extend full cooperation. He emphasized that any potential terrorist aggression must be met with a strong retaliatory response, in close coordination with local peace committees.
He further remarked that the partnership between the police force and the community remains the most effective weapon against terrorism, and that all available resources would be mobilized to uphold peace and security in the region.
