In a major counter-terrorism operation, security forces in Dera Ismail Khan have successfully intercepted a deadly plot to attack innocent civilians. A coordinated effort by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Police, and intelligence agencies led to the arrest of four militants connected to a banned organisation.

The suspects, Umar Farooq, Asif Ali, Husnain Muawiya, and Hidayatullah, were found with a large cache of explosives, firearms, and ready-to-use IEDs. The weapons seized could have caused widespread devastation if the plot had succeeded.

These individuals were previously linked to multiple deadly attacks targeting both civilians and security forces. The authorities’ swift action has been praised for averting what could have been a catastrophic event, ensuring the safety of the public.
