Terrorists launched an attack on a police checkpost in the rural area of Kalasang, within the jurisdiction of Totali Police Station, on Monday. However, Police Officer Irfan displayed exceptional bravery, risking his life to thwart the attack. Irfan’s determined resistance forced the assailants to retreat, and they fled the scene.
The injured officer was immediately transferred to a hospital in Swabi for medical treatment. Following the attack, the police initiated a search operation in the area to apprehend the perpetrators.
The banned organisation, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has claimed responsibility for the cowardly assault.
