Terror Violence Persists in Tirah & South Waziristan as Terrorists Kill Two More Children

In yet another surge of militant brutality, two separate incidents in South Waziristan and Tirah have claimed the lives of innocent children and left families devastated.

According to local sources, on 19 November in the Sharaknai area of South Waziristan’s Toi Khulla region, terrorists intercepted a motorcyclist and demanded money. When the man refused to assist them in their criminal activities, they opened fire. The victim sustained injuries, while a young child, Ubaidullah, was tragically killed in the attack.

Residents have questioned whether groups such as PTM and PTI’s hardline activists will raise their voices against the terrorists and their facilitators, or whether their protests will continue to revolve around politically motivated narratives instead of condemning militant violence.

In another heartbreaking incident in Khyber’s Tirah valley, a mortar shell landed near the home of a local resident, Asstan Gul, in the Barchamberkhel Narhao area. The explosion killed his four-year-old son, Mohammad, on the spot. Asstan Gul himself was critically injured and later succumbed to his wounds while being shifted to hospital. His daughter was also injured and is receiving medical treatment.

Locals say the unending cycle of terrorist violence has left tribal communities in constant mourning, urging the government to launch a decisive and comprehensive operation to eliminate militant elements from the tribal districts once and for all.
They stressed that daily funerals are a heavier burden than any single, resolute action the state might take to restore peace.
